What can we offer you?
Grosvadsskolan is a school for grades 7–9 with approximately 370 students spread across 14 classes. The school is located in the center of Finspång, with nature just outside the door. The school consists of two connected building blocks and has a passage leading to the swimming hall, sports, and leisure facilities.
The school's approximately 60 employees – teachers, student health team, and support staff – are divided into three year-group teams. You will be part of one of these work teams and the subject group for practical-aesthetic subjects. Grosvadsskolan works to provide our students with tools for lifelong learning, meeting the knowledge requirements in national curricula, social competence, communicative competence, and problem-solving skills.
Your future responsibilities
You will plan, conduct, evaluate, and assess students' knowledge development in wood and metalwork in grades 7–9. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues in your work team, as well as with other qualified subject teachers, the school's student health team, and safety team. In your teaching, you strive to create safe and good learning environments to give all students the best conditions for development and learning.
The role also involves
Close collaboration with colleagues and the student health team regarding pedagogical and social issues. Continuous contact with students and their guardians through the students' mentors throughout the school year, where information about the students' knowledge development is communicated.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach wood and metalwork. We would appreciate it if you are interested in and have experience with language-developing methods in a multilingual classroom. You are confident in your leadership, have the ability to engage and challenge students, and possess the knowledge to meet the diversity of all students. You have a positive attitude, are creative, proactive, and structured. You are solution-focused and have a flexible working style. You build good relationships and approach collaboration with others in a listening and humble manner.
In close collaboration with colleagues who wish to develop, we leverage each other's competencies so that our students succeed in their learning. You believe in every student's potential to succeed and have clear goals and planning for the teaching that you design and implement so that all students are given the opportunity to develop and learn. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
