Haga Stall & Care operates Smedstad Equestrian Center in Linköping. The facility is beautifully located at Tinnerö Oak Landscape and offers a wide range of horse-related activities. Here, riding school operations are conducted in close cooperation with the non-profit association Linköping Eventing Club, with approx. 700 rides/week and 60 horses, combined riding and HUI activities, riding camps, competitions, etc. The operations also include adapted workplaces (daily activities according to LSS) and open leisure activities for children in grades 4-6. Job Description

We are now looking for an riding instructor for the facility. As a riding instructor with us, you must have education for the task and high social competence. You should be solution-oriented, engaged, and passionate about teaching students of all ages and with different prior knowledge in horse knowledge and riding. You care about the horses' well-being and safe horse handling, and you actively participate in the work of caring for, maintaining, and training the riding school's horses. The position also includes stable duties and facility maintenance, as well as certain responsibilities related to horses and the stable.

As a riding instructor at Smedstad Equestrian Center, you are part of a team of riding instructors and stable staff under the leadership of the riding school manager and stable manager, but also in a larger staff group with close cooperation with all staff at the facility. You enjoy meeting many different people, you can express yourself well in speech and writing, and you are passionate about reaching the goal of offering as many people as possible the opportunity to come into contact with horses and riding. We would appreciate it if you have experience working in riding school administrative systems and have good computer skills. You are meticulous, work systematically, and communicate and cooperate with the different actors in the house to meet challenges and deadlines.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience teaching riders with various types of disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Horse and riding instruction for children, young people, adults, and persons with disabilities at various levels.
• Stable duties and horse care as well as training of the riding school's horses.
• Customer contact via phone, email, and physical meetings.
• Participate in planning, development, and follow-up of riding school operations and other operations at the facility.
• Administration in Hippocrates Academy.
• Work integrated with other staff and operations within Haga Stall & Care AB.
• And other common tasks in the operation.

Qualifications

• Education and experience working with horses.
• Swedish Riding Instructor at least SRL I or equivalent.
• Ability to work in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Category B driver's license.

Merits

• Hippologist (Horse Scientist).
• Education and experience in riding for persons with disabilities.
• Coach education, teacher education, or other pedagogical education.
• Experience with administration in Hippocrates Academy or other riding school administrative systems.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Information

Working hours will be scheduled during daytime, evening time, and weekends according to the needs of the operation.

Employment degree 50-75% upon agreement.

Collective agreement with Fastighets is in place. Salary according to agreement.

The position is a temporary position until 2028-01-31.
