Your responsibilities

As a special needs teacher at Parkskolan, you play a central role in the school's work to create accessible learning environments and provide students with the right support at the right time. Your work focuses on strengthening students' knowledge development and creating conditions for all students to succeed in their schooling.

You work closely with teachers, student welfare services, and school management to identify and analyze student needs at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Based on this, you plan, implement, and follow up on special educational interventions. You are responsible for teaching students in need of special support, conducting assessments and evaluations, and providing guidance and consultation to colleagues regarding extra adaptations and special support.

The role also includes participating in the school's student welfare team and contributing to preventive and promotional work. Through your competence, you are an important part of the school's development work and actively work to create teaching that meets the needs of all students.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has:

• Teacher certification covering current subjects and grade levels.
• A degree as a special needs teacher (specialpedagog).
• At least four years of experience working as a teacher.
• Good IT maturity and experience using digital tools in teaching and documentation.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

We would appreciate it if you have experience or a particular interest in language and communication development work. You have good knowledge of how the significance of language for learning can be made visible in teaching and how different interventions can contribute to strengthening students' opportunities to reach their goals.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you are a person who builds trusting relationships and creates good collaborations with students, guardians, and colleagues. You communicate clearly and adapt your message to the recipient, ensuring that information reaches and is understood by the audience.

You have a coaching approach and are motivated by supporting both students and colleagues in their development. Through your engagement, sensitivity, and pedagogical skill, you contribute to the growth and development of those around you.

As a person, you are collaborative and are happy to share knowledge, experiences, and ideas. You see the strength in working together towards common goals and actively contribute to a positive work climate.

You also have strong drive and endurance in your work. You see opportunities even when challenges arise and work purposefully to find solutions that benefit students' development. At the same time, you are flexible and adapt easily to new prerequisites, working methods, and needs in the operations.
