🌟 As a Study and Career Counselor (SYV) at Nordic International School Nacka, you will become an integral part of our student health team and a dedicated colleague in our staff group. You will work closely with students, staff, and guardians to ensure that every student acquires the knowledge needed to make well-founded choices regarding their future.
🌟 Your primary responsibility is to inform, guide, and motivate students regarding future studies and career choices. Your duties include, but are not limited to:
Conducting individual counseling sessions and supporting students in their decision-making process.
Providing information on upper secondary school programs, admission requirements, and future study paths.
Administering the upper secondary school application process and coordinating work experience placements (PRAO).
🌟 You will drive and develop the counseling work at the school, collaborating closely with our teachers to ensure that study and career guidance becomes an integrated part of the school's overall responsibility. Naturally, you are open to collaboration and constantly strive to develop the operations.
Qualifications✔ Degree from the Study and Career Counseling Program (180 credits) from a university or college.
✔ Good knowledge of the Swedish education system and the labor market.
✔ Ability to guide students in choosing upper secondary education and future careers.
✔ Good knowledge of Indra (the Upper Secondary School Admissions system in Greater Stockholm).
✔ Fluent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. (As we are a school with an international profile, good knowledge of English is highly meritorious).
Personal Qualities✔ Friendly, empathetic, and capable of building good, trusting relationships with young people.
✔ Communicative and receptive, making it easy for you to build good relationships with colleagues, guardians, and external stakeholders.
✔ A person who works both independently and structurally, while being creative and having excellent collaboration skills.
Terms of EmploymentEmployment type: Permanent. Probationary period applies.
Workload: 20%.
Start date: According to agreement.
