Do you want to help shape the future of healthcare and social care? The Inspectorate for Health and Care Services (IVO) is facing exciting developments with more assignments and continued growth. We are now looking for a Coordinator for the Legal Department who wants to have a central role in contributing to creating structure, momentum, and quality in an operation with an important societal mission.

About the job

As a Coordinator in the Legal Department, you are an important support in the department's management work. You work closely with the department head, who is also the Chief Legal Counsel, the department's support staff, and the management group, contributing to structure, momentum, and quality in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of the operations. The role involves contributing through analysis, coordination, and development work to ensure that the department and IVO achieve their goals.

Your main tasks will include, among other things:

  • supporting the department head/Chief Legal Counsel and the management group in analysis, planning, prioritization, follow-up, and operational development,
  • coordinating and driving the work forward,
  • preparing decision support materials, analyses, reports, and presentations,
  • contributing to clear and effective internal communication,
  • handling administrative tasks related to management and operational support.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • an academic degree in a relevant field,
  • several years of experience in operational coordination and development, including strategic analysis,
  • several years of experience in producing reports and decision support materials,
  • good command of Swedish, both oral and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • several years of relevant experience from a Swedish government agency,
  • relevant experience in coordinating legal matters.

To succeed in the role, you need to be structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and drive work forward even when multiple assignments are ongoing in parallel. You are analytical and can produce, process, and translate materials into clear conclusions and concrete improvements. Furthermore, you are independent and responsible, take ownership of your tasks, and drive them to completion even without a clear brief. You are proactive and development-oriented, actively contributing to improving working methods, processes, and digital tools. Finally, you have good collaborative and communication skills, are confident in contacting, coordinating, and following up with various functions, and adapt your communication to the recipient and situation.

Workplace Description

On December 1, 2025, a Legal Department was established at IVO – an important initiative where the department will strengthen and develop the agency's legal work. The Legal Department works with legal support in supervision and permit assessments, as well as cross-agency legal matters.

There are just over 50 employees on the department, distributed across three units and a support staff. The department head is also IVO's Chief Legal Counsel.

IVO stands for commitment and broad knowledge of Swedish healthcare and social care. We review, draw lessons, and work to make healthcare and social care better and safer – always with a focus on patients and users.

The agency has approximately 800 employees. Supervision is conducted at six regional departments across the country, while permit assessment, analysis, planning, communication, and operational support are located in Stockholm, as is the Director General's support staff.
