About the Staff:

The Support Department (StödA) belongs to the staff at FMLOG and is currently located in fine premises at Gärdet in Stockholm. The department consists of six sections: Security/Intelligence, Logistics, Materiel, Design Management, Command Systems, and Infrastructure. These sections are responsible for leading and monitoring the unit's technical services, materiel and supply issues, command system issues, infrastructure, operational security, as well as environmental and quality issues. Both military and civilian personnel work at the department. The role of Logistics Officer is located on the Logistics Section.

Main Responsibilities:

The role involves coordinating and being responsible for the daily functional management of logistics, establishing routines, and handling cases. The position primarily concerns the supply of consumables such as materiel through needs assessment, inventory, and follow-up, and involves a large part of collaboration and building a network. The Logistics Officer is part of a staff and therefore needs to be able to work broadly and independently with different types of tasks. The position requires good orderliness as well as balance for when details versus the whole are required.

  • The Logistics Officer handles and prepares logistics support within FMLOG at all readiness levels, which means dynamic work between planning and implementation across a variety of time perspectives.
  • Supports with professional competence and contributes to keeping the FMLOG logistics situation picture up to date.
  • Establishes and follows up on the unit's orders regarding logistics.
  • Establishes and drives the unit's processes regarding MFO (Materiel Distribution Order), AFO (Ammunition Distribution Order), LFO (Food Distribution Order), as well as the unit's inventory.
  • Drives the unit's follow-up and order in command support systems, such as LIFT and PRIO.
  • Assists in the establishment of order books for production and operations.
  • Participates in project and working groups and works as a general staff member.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Completed and approved training for supply support in the PRIO system.
  • Work experience as an officer/administrator in a logistics function.
  • Good proficiency in Swedish regarding speech and writing.
  • Driver's license, at least category B, manual.

Merits:

  • Completed and approved conscription or military basic training.
  • Completed and approved FM Quartermaster training.
  • Well-versed in FM support systems LIFT and PRIO.
  • Familiar with FM materiel and supply processes.
