Department of Computer and Systems Sciences

Job Description
The role combines capacity building in project management with administrative project coordination. Approximately half of the working time will be devoted to planning and facilitating project management workshops for Portuguese-speaking partners, while the remaining time consists of administrative support for SPIDER's activities.
Project Management and Capacity Building
- Plan, facilitate, and follow up on project management workshops in Portuguese.
- Provide support and advice to project partners regarding project planning, monitoring, and results management.
- Collaborate with the project management group to develop workshop materials and methods for knowledge sharing and capacity building.
- Contribute to SPIDER's project efforts, both internally and in collaboration with European and African partner organizations.
- Represent SPIDER's project efforts at national and international events and conferences on digitalization.
Project Administration
- Support the development of SPIDER's networks in Portuguese-speaking African countries as well as at the EU level.
- Prepare events and training initiatives in project management for Portuguese-speaking audiences.
- Plan and coordinate project activities.
- Administer documentation and project archives.
- Support other administrative tasks within SPIDER.
Other administrative tasks within the center may occur. International travel for work purposes is expected.
Qualifications
Requirements
- An academic degree or equivalent experience acquired in a relevant field, e.g., global development, IT, law, social sciences, project management, or equivalent experience.
- At least three years of experience in project coordination or similar tasks.
- Very good organizational skills and experience working systematically with multiple parallel tasks.
- Experience in administrative work, documentation, and reporting.
- Experience working with national/regional cooperation at the EU/AU level.
- Excellent understanding of international relations and development work.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel.
- Good communication skills and ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Portuguese, Swedish, and English.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Merits
- Certification or training in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
- Documented experience in project management.
- Experience in developing and delivering workshops for adults.
- Documented experience in Results Based Management (RBM).
- Experience working with global digital development/regulatory work or international development cooperation.
- Experience working in the public sector.
- Experience with EU-funded projects.
- Experience working and/or traveling in Africa.
- Experience from Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa (PALOP).
- Experience in digitalization or the telecommunications sector.
About the Position
The position is full-time and fixed-term for 12 months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
