About the Role
We are currently looking for a Controller to join the finance function at Botkyrkarbyggen, a municipal housing company in Botkyrka. In this role, you will work with monitoring, budgeting, and forecasting processes, and be responsible for preparing reports for management and the board. You will have special responsibility for the financial monitoring of the company's property projects regarding renovation, maintenance, and new construction, working closely with property management, operations, and property development.

You will become part of an experienced and engaged team of six people responsible for the company's accounting, reporting, and financial monitoring. The team is characterized by high competence, open collaboration, and shared responsibility.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and quality-assure investment calculations, monitor costs and forecasts, and ensure correct accounting treatment, including capitalization in the fixed asset register and assessment of investment versus maintenance.
  • Act as a financial support and partner to managers and project leaders by providing analysis, structure, and advice regarding investments and ongoing operations.
  • Participate in the preparation of internal reports, key performance indicator (KPI) analysis, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support managers and employees in financial matters, and assist the Finance Manager and the rest of the finance department in investigations and other tasks within the department's area of responsibility.
  • Share system responsibility for the company's monitoring and analysis systems, as well as parts of the property system.

Assignment Period and Scope
The Controller position is a full-time consultancy assignment starting on 2026-08-23, initially lasting for 3 months with a possibility of extension.

Remote work is allowed 1–2 days per week, depending on operational needs.

Requirements for the Role:

  • University education with a focus on economics or equivalent, and at least 5 years of professional experience as a controller.
  • Experience with financial closing processes from larger, complex operations included in a group structure.
  • Experience in independently working with financial monitoring of property projects in a property company.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience working with investment calculations, project monitoring, and capitalization in the fixed asset register.
  • Strong IT skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of analysis tools (e.g., QlikView Hypergene, Insikt, and Power BI).
  • Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., UBW, Visma, Unit 4 ERP, Raindance).
