In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Gullhedskolan is a preschool class to grade 6 school with an after-school program and currently has just over 230 students. The school is located in the center of Järbo and is close to the library, forest, football field, and hockey rink. The school focuses on the importance of movement and has a nice schoolyard that offers and invites to movement. There are several different types of movement paths and planned break activities led by the school's educators.

Job Description

As a student assistant, you work closely with an individual student who needs special support during the school day. The assignment also includes work in the after-school activities. You are an important support in the student's daily life and work actively to promote both learning and social development. The goal is to create a safe and developing school environment. The work takes place in close collaboration with teachers, after-school staff, and guardians.

You contribute by:

• Supporting the student in teaching and during after-school activities
• Working with clear pedagogy at group and individual levels
• Using visual aids and digital tools to explain and communicate

• Sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues
• Creating a safe and accessible learning environment
• Being sensitive to each student's needs
• Working solution-focused and with great engagement

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is secure, sensitive, and has an easy time building trust. You meet every student with respect and adapt your support based on needs and daily condition. You see what needs to be done and take initiative to create a functioning daily life. Through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians, you contribute to a safe and developing learning environment.

For the assignment, the following is required:

• High school diploma
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written

Experience and/or pedagogical education for working with students in need of special support is meritorious. IT competence and experience in using digital tools in pedagogical work are also advantageous.
