RESPONSIBILITIES

Petreskolan 5-9 is located in central Hofors and has approximately 370 students, of whom about 250 are in grades 7-9. The school is close to the municipality's sports facilities as well as forests and land. In close proximity to the school, you will find a swimming hall, ice hall, athletics arena, artificial turf field, ski tracks, outdoor gym, BMX hall, jogging trail, and the hall used for teaching is Hoforshallen's large sports hall, located right next to the school. Having physical education at Petreskolan offers great opportunities for variety and free access to all the aforementioned facilities. On outdoor days, we also have proximity to Hoforsbacken for downhill skiing. Responsibility for outdoor days is shared with the other PE teacher and the work teams.

You have a coaching approach with the ability to create a learning environment where every student develops as much as possible. At the school, promoting work is conducted in all grades regarding various value and life issues; this work is handled by mentors, counselors, and school psychologists (SYV).

Digital skills are of high quality among both students and adults. We work actively with Google tools and the learning platform Unikum, just like other schools in the municipality. Therefore, it is an advantage if you possess good knowledge of using digital tools in your teaching.

You will teach physical education in grades 5-9 with associated tasks as a teacher and participant in work teams. The position does not include mentorship. The position also offers space for School-IF and time for extra swimming for students in need of this.
