Teacher for After-School Center, Värnaskolan in Hofors

Värnaskolan has approximately 160 students from preschool class to grade 3. The school also operates an after-school center program before and after school hours.

The school area includes Värnahallen, where indoor sports are held. The school also has an stimulating outdoor environment with large play areas. Adjacent to the school is Skolskogen (The School Forest), featuring outdoor classrooms, barbecue areas, dens, and beautiful nature.

The after-school center is divided into two departments with their own premises. Each department has 30-35 children.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in the after-school center, you work in accordance with the school's and after-school center's governing documents, curriculum, and national goals. The activities are designed to promote students' development, security, and study environment.

During school hours, you work with students in class, individually, or in small groups, providing support in various situations throughout the school day, such as during lessons, breaks, transitions between activities, and in other social contexts.

In the after-school center activities, you are responsible, together with colleagues, for planning, implementing, and following up on activities that stimulate students' learning, creativity, social development, and independence. Through a relational approach, you contribute to strengthening students' sense of security, motivation, and participation in school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with a teaching license qualifying you for work in the after-school center.

• Have documented good teamwork skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to organize and structure your work.
• Have a solution-focused approach and excellent ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Can adapt your methods and activities based on the students' daily condition and needs, and actively contribute to a safe and positive school environment throughout the school day.
• Work from a low-affective approach and have the ability to meet students in different situations in a calm, structured, and professional manner.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Salary: Monthly salary.
