Job Description

We are looking for a study and career counselor on a 100% basis. Your tasks will include study and career counseling for students and collaboration with guardians and school staff. The work involves guiding and informing our students individually and in groups regarding upcoming study and career choices. You will also work with administration regarding upper secondary school selection and plan and follow up on work experience placements (PRAO).

Together with educators and the student health team at Bergsjö School, you will work to promote and prevent issues to improve student well-being and increase goal achievement for all students.

You will also serve as a support for staff at other schools in the municipality regarding study and working life issues, and work to expand cooperation with working life/business. You are also responsible for revising the municipality's study and career counseling plan.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a study and career counselor and who have:

• The ability to motivate students and create a safe and educational school environment.
• High expectations of students and a desire for them to succeed.
• Good ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• The willingness and commitment to develop study and career counseling work in the municipality and at Bergsjö School.

Personal Qualities

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability, where independence, professional competence, teamwork skills, and flexibility are important. It is also important that you enjoy working in a team, have a positive attitude, are communicative, and have a clear student perspective in your outlook.

The position is a permanent position at 100% with start date according to agreement. For any interview, please bring a current certificate of good conduct.
