About the Workplace

Milbo School is a K-6 school located in the pleasant neighborhood of Hille on the northern outskirts of Gävle. The operations are divided into two buildings, K-3 and 4-6, and serve approximately 350 students. Together with the schools in Björke, Trödje, and Bergby, Milbo School belongs to the Bergby Principal Area.

We are currently looking for two teachers for grades 4-6 who wish to contribute to students' learning and development in a safe and stimulating school environment. Here, you will work in a dedicated team where collaboration and quality are at the forefront.

Responsibilities

As a teacher for grades 4-6, you will have the opportunity to inspire, challenge, and support students in their knowledge development. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to a joyful, varied, and high-quality school day where student development and well-being are the focus. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other educators, student health services, guardians, and in accordance with current goals and guidelines.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching grades 4-6 in Mathematics (MA) and Science (NO).
• Having class responsibility, as well as responsibility for mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation of lessons.
• Mapping students' needs and adapting teaching to their prerequisites.
• Mentorship.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A teaching degree and teaching license with eligibility to teach grades 4-6 in Mathematics (MA) and Science (NO).
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the Swedish compulsory school curriculum.
• The ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and experience working with digital tools, such as documentation in Unikum or Office.
