Håsta School is located in western Hudiksvall, close to nature, forests, and urban environments. We are a school full of activity and forward-thinking spirit. Our staff are highly qualified and work motivatedly and systematically to develop teaching, learning, learning climate, and accessible learning environments for all students. We have a multi-year collaboration with researchers from Umeå University regarding Test-Based Learning, which is built on international research about the brain and memory. Our teaching also incorporates Genre Pedagogy and NTA (Nature and Technology for All). The school's lead teacher leads the systematic quality work connected to the municipality's subject leader network.

The school has a unified student health team consisting of special education teachers, special needs pedagogues, counselors, school nurses, and the principal. Together, we work to support students' learning, health, and development.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a certified teacher for grades 4–6 with qualifications in mathematics, Science (NO), and Technology. You are familiar with the curriculum, confident in your role, and have good skills in building relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You share overall responsibility for the operations and contribute to well-being and a sense of community. You work strategically and systematically to achieve high goal fulfillment, security, and study peace.

At our school, every student should feel unique, take responsibility for their own learning, and care for our common environment. We always start from students' strengths and abilities. Security is in focus, and we work to ensure every student feels seen, safe, and confirmed by the adults at the school. We adults are and should be good role models.

The work includes planning, implementation, and evaluation according to decided goals. You create environments that promote communication, curiosity, and activity. Outdoor activities and movement are important parts of our operations, and you are also responsible for recess activities. Together with your colleagues, we create a school where everyone feels safe.

Your Profile

You are a certified teacher for grades 4–6 in the subjects of mathematics, Science (NO), Technology, and English. You have a strong desire to develop yourself and others. We place great importance on teamwork skills and personal suitability.

About the Department

The Learning Administration in Hudiksvall Municipality follows children from preschool to high school. We work with joy, engagement, and on a scientific basis to increase knowledge, creativity, and the desire to learn. Here, everyone should feel that they can, want to, and dare!
