In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Here, a safe and supportive environment with high expectations is created, giving students good opportunities to reach their goals. Digital development has long been a natural part of our operations, and every student has access to their own computer as support in teaching. Our shared value base and an organization with short decision-making paths contribute to participation, clarity, and good opportunities for development.

Årsunda School is located approximately 15 km south of Sandviken, beautifully situated by Lake Storsjön. The proximity to nature is utilized in teaching. The school is a grades F-6 school with approximately 125 students and has been newly renovated both internally and externally.

Österfärnebo School is the municipality's southernmost school, located 42 kilometers south of Sandviken. It is a small and safe school in the middle of the countryside with approximately 75 students. The local library with a librarian is also located in the school's premises.

Next to the school is Tallhallen, which is used frequently by the school. In addition to physical education lessons, the hall is also used for joint assemblies and activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a teacher in textile crafts. As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching according to the school's steering documents. The assignment involves creating an accessible learning environment where students' curiosity and desire to learn are nurtured.

In the subject of textile crafts, you lead creative and practical work processes where students get to explore materials, techniques, and design. You guide and support the students through the entire creative process and are responsible for a safe and secure working environment. You will teach students in grades 3-6 at Årsunda School and Österfärnebo School.

You contribute by:

• Stimulating students' development and learning based on their individual needs
• Creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Being a clear and safe role model for the students
• Actively working for an inclusive and safe school environment
• Collaborating in the work team to develop teaching

• Sharing knowledge and experiences in collegial forums
• Strengthening each other in daily work
• Having an open and solution-focused approach
• Working with the student at the center

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. You have an easy time creating trusting relationships and contribute to a safe and accessible learning environment. Sensitivity and collaboration skills are important traits in collegial work, where teaching is developed together. A structured work method facilitates planning and follow-up, while flexibility allows you to handle changed needs and see opportunities in new situations. An inclusive approach permeates your work and creates good conditions for all students.

For the assignment, the following is required:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for teaching in crafts
• Good knowledge of the primary school's steering documents
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing

Good IT competence and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
