Vesslan Preschool is located in Friggesund, close to a school, library, and sports hall. The preschool has forest and grounds within walking distance, and children and staff spend time outdoors daily. The preschool consists of two departments. We develop our learning environments, work according to curriculum goals, and provide opportunities for planning and documentation. Welcome to us!

Job Responsibilities

As a Childcare Assistant, you will be part of a work team responsible for stimulating each child's development and learning. The education must always be based on scientific grounds and proven experience regarding both content and methods.

Children should be given the prerequisites for education, thinking, and knowledge development from various aspects such as intellectual, linguistic, ethical, practical, sensory, and aesthetic. This requires everyone in the work team to participate in active discussions about children's learning and what constitutes important knowledge today and in the future.

The preschool works systematically and purposefully to create a shared vision of our mission according to the curriculum and the School Act. We use the documentation tool Unikum, which gives guardians the opportunity to participate and influence.

Your Profile

Good teamwork skills, strong relationship-building abilities, and the ability to contribute to a positive collaborative climate within the work team to achieve a favorable environment for children's development and learning. Actively work to build good relationships and provide respectful treatment daily to all children and guardians.

A three-year upper secondary school diploma with passing grades from the Child and Youth Program, OR 1300 credits from adult education in the national basic education (1 year) plus an advanced course (0.5 years) specializing in childcare with passing grades, totaling 1.5 years.

Experience working in a preschool is an advantage.

About the Department

We teach children to read, calculate, and discover the world around them. Here, we follow our youngest residents from preschool until they graduate from upper secondary school. Through our adult education programs, one can learn Swedish as a second language, take individual courses, or pursue longer education. With joy, engagement, participation, and a scientific foundation, we aim to increase knowledge, creativity, development, and the desire to learn.
