Description

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach music in grades 6–9. The position is for 70% of a full-time role.

Responsibilities

You will work as a teacher in the grade 7–9 team. Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, both individually and in collaboration with colleagues. You will become part of a team where you participate in follow-up and analysis of results. A current initiative at Järvsö School focuses on music education in smaller groups, and this position will play a key role in this effort.

Mentorship may be included in the role. The position may be expanded if other relevant qualifications are available.

• You hold a teaching license and are qualified to teach music in grades 6–9.
• You have strong collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to develop operations and identify opportunities.
• You are project-oriented and results-driven, able to work independently and take initiative.
• You can capture and deepen students' interest in the subject, have a strong commitment to students' knowledge development, and see opportunities for growth.
• You enjoy meeting students, have good interpersonal skills, and can foster inclusion and participation within the group.
• You contribute to collegial learning.

Other Information

Järvsö School has approximately 400 students from preschool class to grade 9. Our units are located centrally in Järvsö, where grades 4–9 are housed, and in Nybo, approximately 5 km from the town center, where preschool class to grade 3 are located. The school also houses the Järvsö Library, and the youth center is located adjacent to the school.

Within walking distance, you will find the town center and Öjeberget, which features an alpine facility, a mountain bike park, a lit trail for cross-country skiing, an ice rink, a golf course, a pump track for cycling, and the wildlife park Vildriket with the predator center De 5 Stora. Järvsö is a town with a growing population, strong development, and optimistic future prospects.
