Description

Are you driven by supporting students? Are you a flexible and creative study and career counselor accustomed to taking significant responsibility and enjoying collaboration? Great! Come and shape the future for the children of Bollnäs with us. This is a permanent, full-time position. Start date is in September or by agreement.

As a study and career counselor, you will be part of Bollnäs Municipality's consolidated student health services. The student health team works preventively and implements measures that benefit the health of all children. In addition to study and career counselors, the team includes school nurses, school doctors, psychologists, counselors, and special education teachers.

Responsibilities

As a study and career counselor at Bollnäs Municipality, your primary task is to provide information about education and work, as well as to support students in discovering their personal strengths and goals. You will work closely with other school functions to create the best possible conditions for the students.

Your most important tool is the personal conversation. The role requires you to stay updated on changes in working life, education, and society. You should be able to provide guidance both in groups and individually.

Your responsibilities include contact with both internal and external stakeholders as part of developing collaboration between schools, education, and working life. You are also a key member of the school's student health team.

You will work individually at the school but also as part of a team with other study and career counselors who meet regularly.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with education intended for the role of study and career counselor. You are experienced in guiding people in various contexts and have a desire and enthusiasm to support young people. Experience in the field is an advantage.

As a person, you are flexible and can adapt to different situations. You are a good and relationship-building communicator who can work independently but also sees it as a given to collaborate and work together in a team.

Furthermore, you are creative, see opportunities instead of obstacles, and can contribute new solutions. You have the ability to motivate and inspire others so that they develop and feel well. You are skilled at creating open dialogue and adapting your actions based on the situation.

Finally, we believe it is important that you are aware of the significance of the study and career counselor's work and wish to drive and develop this within the school. You have a holistic view and can identify needs for improvements in operations that positively affect students' health, development, and goal achievement.
