About Stigslunds School

Stigslunds School is a school for grades F-9 located in a beautiful outdoor environment, approximately 3 km from Gävle city center. We actively work on preventive and promoting efforts to maintain a safe environment and good working atmosphere at our school. We create good conditions for this through dedicated educators, an active student health service, and visible school leadership. We have good cooperation with parents, which is important and a prerequisite for our success in our mission. An important part of our pedagogical work is developing students' literacy skills in all subjects. We are convinced that good literacy is a key to success in school and in life.

We are looking for a dedicated teacher for grades 4-6 who wants to contribute to an inspiring and developmental learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you will have the opportunity to inspire, challenge, and support students in their knowledge development. The role includes teaching with class responsibility as well as mentorship. Together with colleagues, you contribute to creating a safe, joyful, and varied school day where the students' best interests are always in focus.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Teaching in grades 4-6 in the subjects Mathematics (MA) and Natural Sciences (NO).
• Actively working on students' literacy skills in all subjects.
• Planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of teaching.
• Mapping students' needs and adapting teaching to their prerequisites.
• Mentorship.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with other educators, the student health service, and guardians, and is performed according to current goals and guidelines. In accordance with Gävle Municipality's values, you have a good attitude towards people, a good ability to collaborate, and value high quality in your work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A teacher education and teacher certification with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6 and the subjects MA/NO.
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the Swedish compulsory school curriculum.
• The ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and experience with working with digital tools, for example, documentation in Unikum or Office.
• Additional qualifications for the position with broad subject eligibility are meritorious.

Employment Terms

Type of employment: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-12.
Working hours: Daytime.

As the final candidate, you must be able to produce a police certificate of good conduct for work in schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
