About the workplace

The Centre for Development and Learning (Cul) offers a wide range of courses in Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), basic and upper secondary adult education, vocational adult education (Yrkesvux), apprenticeships, and adapted adult education (Komvux). Cul also offers university college programmes and opportunities to study certain university courses on-site, as well as study and career guidance.

At Cul, our municipal citizens can raise their educational level to increase opportunities for employment or further studies. We help businesses and the public sector with competence supply. Cul has close and good cooperation with external actors such as Employment and Social Services, Higher Education/Universities, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and the Region.

Job Responsibilities

Teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for Adult Education

Do you want to make a difference for adult students? We are now looking for an engaged and empathetic teacher in mathematics and natural sciences for our adult education program.

About the position

As a teacher here, you teach adult students with different backgrounds, experiences, and goals. You plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching in mathematics and natural sciences, focusing on creating good conditions for each individual to succeed.

You are part of a work team where collaboration, collegial learning, and shared responsibility are central parts of the operations.

Your profile

You are a certified teacher in mathematics and natural sciences at the upper secondary level. You are empathetic and have the ability to meet people with different needs and prerequisites. You are creative and flexible in your teaching, have a good ability to adapt teaching to individual needs, enjoy collaborating and contributing actively in a work team, and have a solution-focused and inclusive approach.

About the Department

We teach children to read, calculate, and discover the world around them. Here we follow our youngest municipal residents from preschool until they graduate from upper secondary school. Through our adult education, one can learn Swedish as a second language, take individual courses, or pursue a longer education. With joy, engagement, participation, and a scientific foundation, we want to increase knowledge, creativity, development, and the desire to learn.
