The Working Life Administration is responsible for the municipality's operations within adult education, the labor market, and integration. Within the administration, approximately 150 employees work in a operation that includes around 1,200 participants in labor market programs and projects, as well as approximately 3,000 students in the combined adult education. Läroviken is Sandviken Municipality's unit for adult education. Läroviken is responsible for education in Swedish for immigrants, Lärvux, basic education, upper secondary education, vocational education, as well as post-secondary and upper secondary supplementary education.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

Läroviken is now looking for an engaged and driven study and career counselor.

As a study and career counselor, you will work with;

  • Providing individual guidance to students within adult education.
  • Assisting with study planning, course selection, and future career paths.
  • Informing about educational pathways, the labor market, and eligibility requirements.
  • Participating in development work regarding the role of guidance within adult education.
  • Collaborating with teachers and administration regarding student cases.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree as a study and career counselor.
  • Experience in guidance within adult education (meritorious).

We are looking for someone who is flexible and thrives in a changing environment, as adult education is constantly evolving. You are solution-oriented and see opportunities even when conditions change rapidly. As a person, you are positive, stress-resistant, and adaptable to new situations.

You have a relational approach and build trusting relationships with both students and colleagues. At the same time, you work independently and take personal responsibility, have good collaboration skills, and contribute to an open and constructive work climate.

You are driven by development, both in your own work and in the operation as a whole, and want to help shape an adult education that meets future needs.

Employment type: Permanent position.
