About the Preschools

Orion Preschool is located in the heart of Andersberg, with immediate proximity to both the library, exciting forests, and a cool playground. The preschool has space for 91 children and is currently divided into 4 departments. We experience high satisfaction among children and their guardians, and we have had great continuity in our staff.

Norrskensgården is a preschool with 6 departments spread over two floors, located in Andersberg. Our goal is for the education to be fun, safe, and educational for all children, and that it should be based on a holistic view of children and their needs, where care, development, and learning form a whole. In our teaching, we use a theme-based approach which creates joy in work, community, and belonging among both educators and children.

Vallbacksförskolan is located in the south of Gävle and is the municipality's oldest preschool. We have a wonderful outdoor environment that offers many opportunities for exciting adventures. Play also has a central place in the education at the preschool. We currently have 5 departments, and the preschool belongs to the Sörby preschool area. At the preschool, meals are cooked from scratch by a chef in their own kitchen.

Job Responsibilities

Are you a pedagogical preschool teacher who wants to contribute to children's learning and development? We are looking for you who are an engaged, positive, and driven preschool teacher who is passionate about your mission and about pedagogical development work.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Together with your colleagues in the work team, you have the main responsibility for the education at the preschool.
• You plan, implement, document, follow up, and evaluate the operations according to decided goals and guidelines.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree from the Preschool Teacher Programme and preschool teacher authorization with eligibility to teach in preschool and preschool class. Or a degree in June 2026 from the Preschool Teacher Programme.
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the preschool curriculum.
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and experience with working with digital tools.

Meritorious if you have experience with:

• ACC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and/or TAC (Supported Communication).
• Work with children in need of special support.
• Multicultural preschool.

Employment Terms

Type of employment: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-01 or by agreement.
Working hours: Daytime.
