Sandbacka School is a preschool class to grade 2 school with just under 100 students, characterized by a family atmosphere. The school building is a beautiful renovated older building centrally located in Sandviken.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool class teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching together with the work team according to the school's steering documents. The assignment involves creating an accessible and exploratory learning environment where students' curiosity and desire to learn are nurtured. The position also includes some time working in the after-school center.

You contribute by:

• Stimulating students' development and learning based on their individual needs
• Creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Promoting listening and participation
• Actively participating in the school's systematic quality work

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you need to be driven by engagement and creativity and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. The work requires you to signal security and stability. You have an easy time building trusting relationships and contribute to a learning environment characterized by exploration and accessibility. Sensitivity and teamwork skills are important attributes in collegial work, where teaching is developed together. You can connect theory and practice in your work and see the value of working collegially to reflect, analyze, and follow up on teaching. A structured approach facilitates planning and follow-up, while flexibility allows you to handle changed needs and see opportunities in new situations. An inclusive attitude permeates your work and creates good conditions for all students.

Requirements for the assignment:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for teaching in grades F-3
• Good knowledge of the primary school's steering documents
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written

Good IT skills and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
