Vallhovskolan is a preschool-grade 3 (F-3) school with approximately 270 students and is located in the nature-rich area of Vallhov. Here, students encounter modern learning environments where teaching and after-school care work closely together. RESPONSIBILITIES

As an after-school teacher (fritidslärare), you are responsible for the operations in the after-school care center, including planning and conducting teaching. The position also includes classroom work during the school day based on needs and your subject competence. You are part of a work team together with teachers and preschool teachers.

You contribute by:

• Planning and leading activities that promote students' learning and social development
• Creating a safe and inclusive environment in the after-school care center
• Collaborating closely with colleagues to achieve common goals
• Participating in the school's development work

• Sharing knowledge and experiences in the work team
• Supporting each other in change processes
• Maintaining open and respectful collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you need to enjoy a varied workday where you switch between teaching and after-school activities. This requires you to be secure and stable even when the pace is high and that you maintain focus on what is important. Collaboration is central, as is the ability to communicate in a listening manner and build good relationships. With pedagogical insight, you adapt teaching to different needs and work systematically to create safety and continuity in everyday life.

For the assignment, the following are required:

• After-school teacher degree with teacher certification
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written
• Good familiarity with the primary school's steering documents

Advantageous is experience with digital tools and good IT competence.
