Description
Now is your chance to be involved from the very beginning.
We are looking for an engaged supervisor for a full-time project position where you will help build a completely new labor market initiative based on the national activity requirement reform.
This is not a task where everything is already finished. On the contrary. We are looking for you who are driven by development, enjoy creating structure together with others, and want to be part of building something new, shaping content, working methods, and approaches in a business that will make a real difference for people. Here you get the opportunity to influence, develop, and create a business that helps people take the step towards self-support. For the right person, this is a unique opportunity to make a difference – both for the individual and for the future labor market work in Ljusdal Municipality.
From July 1, 2026, a new activity requirement will apply within the social assistance system. The reform means that municipalities must offer activities that strengthen the individual's opportunities to get closer to work, studies, and self-support. The activities should be designed based on the individual's conditions and contribute to increased work capacity, strengthened motivation, and better opportunities to establish themselves on the labor market.
With us, you will become part of the Labor Market Unit – a business that works to ensure that people receive the right support, the right opportunities, and a path towards self-support. We believe in people's ability to develop, and we know that the path there looks different for different people.
We are therefore looking for you who want to make a difference – every day.
Responsibilities
You will meet people who are at different distances from the labor market. Your most important task will be to create motivation, build trust, and help each individual take the next step towards work or studies. In your role, you will work with:
- Job searching and support on the way to work
- Digital training and digital participation
- Motivational conversations
- Individual coaching and guidance
- Civics
- Economics
- Health and wellness
- Creative group activities
You will also, together with the rest of the work group, plan, implement, and follow up on activities and document the participants' development. The assignment involves collaborating with social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and other partners, as well as contributing to the development of the business and its working methods.
Qualifications
For the position, you are required to have post-secondary education in social work, behavioral science, pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You must also hold a Category B driver's license for manual transmission.
To succeed in the assignment, we see that you have a good understanding of the social services' mission and the role of social assistance. You work solution-focused, have personal maturity, good collaboration skills, good documentation skills, and good computer literacy. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Case Management training (CM)
- Experience in coaching or guiding work
- Experience with motivational conversations
- Knowledge of the Swedish Public Employment Service
- Knowledge of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency
- Experience working with people who are far from the labor market
