In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Here, a safe and supportive environment with high expectations is created, giving students good opportunities to reach their goals. Digital development has long been a natural part of our operations, and every student has access to their own computer as support in teaching. Our shared values and an organization with short decision-making paths contribute to participation, clarity, and good opportunities for development.

Norrsätraskolan grades 7–9 is located in the western district of Norrsätra, close to forests and recreational areas. Approximately 330 students attend here, and about 45 dedicated employees work at the school. The school area also includes a grades 4–6 school and an adapted primary school. With us, we make each other better and work together to create a safe and developmental learning environment for all students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in wood and metal crafts for grades 7-9, you will become an important part of creating teaching where student development is at the center. You work both independently and together with the work team to develop teaching in a sustainable and thoughtful way.

You contribute by:

• Creating teaching that starts from the students' needs and prerequisites
• Being a clear leader and role model in the classroom
• Building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
• Actively participating in the school's development work regarding digitalization, values, and language development

• Sharing experiences and knowledge in collegial forums
• Working with a solution-focused approach
• Developing teaching together in work teams
• Having a shared responsibility for the students' safety and learning

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. You adapt teaching based on the individual's needs and create conditions for learning. A structured working method helps you plan and follow up on teaching in a clear and effective way.

Collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. You work closely with colleagues, share experiences, and contribute to an open climate where teaching is developed together. In a changing school environment, it is also important to be able to absorb new ideas and methods and to see the possibilities in them. By being development-oriented, you contribute to the school's collective learning.

The following are required for the assignment:

• Teacher certification with eligibility in wood and metal crafts
• Good knowledge of the primary school's steering documents
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing

Good digital competence and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
