Job Description
Are you drawn to the idea of enabling a developing and inclusive future for newly arrived children and young people? Then this might be the job for you! We are looking for an engaged native language teacher! Come and shape Gävle's future with us.
Students should be given the opportunity to develop and consolidate subject knowledge based on their linguistic prerequisites. Therefore, we are now seeking a native language teacher in Thai for the primary schools of Gävle Municipality. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health services, and guardians.
As a native language teacher in Thai, your tasks include:
- teaching the language
- teaching students about the culture and traditions of the countries where the language is spoken
The teaching follows a curriculum with a comparative purpose, which also requires good proficiency in Swedish.
For students who struggle to meet the knowledge requirements or keep up with other subjects, you as a native language teacher can provide support through study guidance. This involves highlighting or deepening students' knowledge in areas where Swedish concepts need to be clarified and discussed in their native language.
The employment is 20%.
