Positions available

We are now looking for two teachers for the adapted school with a special needs teacher education focusing on subjects and intellectual disability. The positions are located at the adapted school at Solängsskolan (grades 1-3) and Stora Sätraskolan (grades 7-9). These are part-time positions, one in the subject of music and one in the subject of crafts, preferably in combination with another subject such as PE. Job Description

Are you interested in helping to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students? Great! Do you want to contribute to an inclusive and developing future for them? Then you could be the special needs teacher we are looking for. The duties include working together with your colleagues to create a school where everyone feels safe and seen as students, guardians, and staff. In teaching, you collaborate with other resources such as preschool teachers, after-school center teachers, and student assistants. You contribute to designing a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. The work is also carried out in collaboration with student health services, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

Your duties include, among other things:

• You are responsible for planning and teaching, assessment in adapted primary school with a focus on subjects.
• You are responsible for mapping, implementation, and evaluation of the operations according to decided goals and guidelines.
• With your competence, you challenge and support the students so that they achieve good study results and adapt your teaching based on all students' needs and prerequisites.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a teaching license for grades 1-3 or 4-6 in music and/or crafts and preferably another subject such as PE, as well as further education as a special needs teacher with a focus on intellectual disability and subjects.
• Have good knowledge of working in digital tools, for example documentation in Unikum or Office, and are accustomed to using a computer/tablet as a pedagogical tool.
• Are well acquainted with, and have knowledge of, the curriculum for adapted school.
• Have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.

It is desirable if you have experience working within adapted school and have worked with the following areas: intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, neuropsychiatric disabilities, RH, vision, and hearing. Previous experience with AAC, sign language, and low-arousal approach is also meritorious for the position.

Your personal qualities

To succeed in the role, you have:

• A genuine interest in working with students with different needs and abilities. You see possibilities in creating functional solutions for each student's needs and are good at continuously evaluating and improving teaching methods and student progress.
• Ability to lead and motivate students and to make them thrive and feel well. You have a good ability to create trusting relationships and to make students feel safe, belonging, and included.
• Clear leadership in the classroom, are objective and structured, and work for good relationships with both students and guardians.
• Good cooperation with others and adapt to different situations and can change your perspective and approach. As a person, you have the ability to spread calm and stability.
• Creativity, to create and think new.

The final candidate must be able to produce a police certificate of good conduct for work within school or preschool. This should not be attached to your application.

Employment terms

Interviews: Will take place during week 33-34.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start: During the autumn term 2026 according to agreement.
