As a preschool assistant (barnskötare) with us, you will become an important part of an engaged work team at one of our five preschools in Älvdalen Municipality. Together, we work to create a safe, joyful, and educational environment where every child has the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites.

Here, we take both collective and individual responsibility for the operations. Through close collaboration in the work team, you create the best conditions for the children's lifelong learning. You continuously follow up, reflect on, and develop your work based on the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum for the preschool (Lpfö 18).

Responsibilities

In the role of preschool assistant, you work together with your colleagues to ensure that the education is safe, fun, and educational for all children. You work from a holistic perspective where care, development, and learning form a natural whole in everyday life.

You are involved in the entire pedagogical process – from planning and implementation to documentation, follow-up, and development of the operations. You actively contribute to systematic quality work and help develop learning environments that inspire curiosity, play, and learning.

As a preschool assistant, you have an important role in the work team. You work both independently and together with colleagues, take responsibility in the daily work, and contribute to good pedagogical leadership. You can, in collaboration with preschool teachers, participate in or conduct development meetings.

A central part of your assignment is to create good and trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues.

As a person, you are sensitive, positive, and creative. You have a genuine interest in inspiring and supporting children's development and contributing to a stimulating and inclusive environment. We also see that you have good leadership skills in the children's group and the ability to drive pedagogical processes forward in line with the operations' goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A high school education within the Child and Youth sector program with a pedagogical focus, or a degree from a vocational training program for preschool assistants via adult education.
• Good knowledge of and understanding of the preschool's regulatory documents.
• The ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Basic digital competence.

It is meritorious if you have experience working as a preschool assistant.
