Omtanken Assistans provides personal assistance for individuals with disabilities who have been granted assistance under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) or SFB (Swedish Social Services Act). We are looking for several substitutes for the summer to support our clients. The work as a personal assistant is highly varied, but regardless of the specific tasks, you will make a valuable difference to the person you work with.

Your working hours will vary based on the client's needs, ranging from 24-hour shifts, day-evening shifts, awake night shifts, to weekend work.

Send in your CV and cover letter today. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and there may be an opportunity to start training now to begin working as a substitute as early as this spring.

Don't forget to mention if you have a driver's license and access to a car. This can be crucial for some clients so that you can commute to the workplace.

If you are hired to work with any of our clients, you will need to present an extract from your criminal record as part of the employment process. There are two different legal requirements depending on whether you will be working with children or adults:

When working with children

Work with children with disabilities is subject to register control requirements according to the Act (2010:479) on register control of personnel performing certain services for children with disabilities. An extract from the criminal record must be presented as a final step in the recruitment process before employment can become a reality.

When working with elderly persons or adults with disabilities

Work in the home of elderly persons or adults with disabilities is subject to register control according to the Act (2026:43) on register control when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities. The law applies from March 1, 2026. In support of this law, we as a company have a policy to request an extract from the criminal record upon hiring. The register control is carried out as a final step in the recruitment process and is part of our overall suitability assessment.
