The Forensic Psychiatric Clinic in Säter (RPK) provides highly specialized care at both the regional and national levels. There are a total of 78 care beds across seven wards, staffed by experienced nurses and care assistants. The patient group primarily presents with psychotic disorders and neuropsychiatric disabilities, often accompanied by harmful substance use or addiction. The treatment work is varied, with the aim of creating conditions for the patients' reintegration into society.

The Team for Treatment and Operations Follow-up works with long-term treatment contacts for patients sentenced to forensic psychiatric care. The group currently consists of psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation assistants, addiction therapists, and the unit manager. The team works in close collaboration with doctors and ward staff, with the goal of building skills in patients for a sustainable and functional life outside of RPK. Treatment is provided both individually and in groups. The team is driven and collaborative. You will be introduced to the forensic psychiatric environment by open and supportive colleagues; several of us have moved to the region for this work. This recruitment replaces one of the three existing permanent social worker positions.

The social worker role includes psychosocial investigation and planning for each patient, as well as responsibility for external contacts with municipalities, the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan). You are also responsible for planning and coordination regarding housing, employment, finances, and contact with relatives. As a social worker, you may also conduct group treatments and supportive individual counseling. The patient-facing work is largely relationship-building, as stays are often long, and both needs and treatment opportunities vary over time. RPK Säter is currently in a development phase with a focus on more active and evidence-based treatment work. Development work is ongoing for a more structured care process with an expanded range of methods and sharpened quality follow-up. As a social worker, there are great opportunities for a driving role in this development process and for shaping the team's work according to the complex needs of the patient group. Opportunities also exist within Region Dalarna for clinic-based research.

Requirements:

• Registered Healthcare Social Worker (Leg. Hälso- och sjukvårdskurator).
• Interest in quality work as well as process and method development.
• Interest in longer treatment and change processes.
• Will and drive for close teamwork.
• Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license (Category B) (travel for work may occur).

Merits:

• Social Work degree and/or Registered Psychotherapist (strongly meritorious).
• Experience from forensic psychiatry or related 24/7 operations such as psychiatric inpatient care, SIS (Swedish National Board of Institutional Care), HVB homes/treatment homes, etc. (strongly meritorious).
• Experience from operations in development and/or startup phases (strongly meritorious).
• Knowledge and/or experience regarding comorbidity (addiction & mental illness) and/or domestic violence.
• Investigation experience and experience working with neuropsychiatric disabilities (e.g., TBA).

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Interviews are expected to take place during weeks 32 and 33.
