Support Assistant Wanted at Vitsippans Service Housing!

We are looking for a new employee as a support assistant at Vitsippans service housing in Falun. We are looking for you with relevant education, good knowledge, and experience working in LSS activities (LSS - Act on Support and Service to Certain Disabled Persons). We advocate for a low-affective approach characterized by openness, lack of pretension, and reflection.
A service housing characterized by LSS building blocks: participation, self-determination, and independence, with the right to live a life as similar to everyone else as possible.
Job Responsibilities
Working as a support assistant means providing individuals with various functional variations with support and care based on needs around the clock. The tasks include motivating, supporting, and helping the individual in all daily situations both inside and outside the home. This means facilitating the individual's daily life situation and providing support in social contexts. We will work based on a clarifying pedagogy by maintaining structure based on the implementation plan created in collaboration with the individual.
We always strive for our users to become as independent as possible based on their prerequisites. In our work, we always start from the individual themselves and what they desire for the day, the week, or life in general, which then forms the basis for our joint approach towards the specific individual.
In the role of support assistant, you will have a varied job that includes close collaboration with Municipal Rehabilitation, healthcare personnel, psychiatry, and habilitation. You will have the opportunity to develop our operations and activities as we actively work with implementation plans where our interventions are directed towards the individual through goals that are continuously followed up in collaboration with other professions.
Qualifications
Requirements for the role:
- Relevant education with a focus on disability, social work, treatment assistant, or other education/experience assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Documented experience working with individuals with intellectual functional variations within LSS/Psychiatry/SoL.
- Good ability to work with documentation and implementation plans, as well as experience using computers as a work tool.
- Education in and/or experience with low-affective approach.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
- Experience using various computer systems.

Meritorious Qualifications
- Education or in-depth experience with various diagnoses within LSS/SoL and/or psychiatry.
- Experience/knowledge within the NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) area.
- Knowledge/experience regarding mental illness in combination with disabilities.
- Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and experience with structured work methods.
Employment Terms
Permanent full-time position with start date as agreed.
The work involves day and evening shifts as well as revised on-call duties.
