Individual and Family Care

Individual and Family Care is a department consisting of three units: children and family, adults, and administration, with a total of 20 employees. The department is led by a department manager. In both the adult unit and the children and family unit, there is both the authority part in the form of social secretaries and staff working with outpatient interventions in various forms such as treatment, family support, interventions for children and young people, as well as family therapy. We are a small office where collaboration and cooperation are important key words. There are short decision-making paths and a management style close to the operations.

Now, the children and family unit is looking for a family therapist. There are currently two family therapists in the unit, making this the third position. We have come far in the work with the transition to the new Social Services Act, and our interventions for families and individuals are offered via interventions without a welfare decision. The individual seeks help themselves, and the family therapist shapes the assignments together with the family/the individual. We also continue to work with interventions based on welfare decisions.

Job Responsibilities

As a family therapist, you work to contribute to change work together with the families and strengthen and secure the relationships between the children and their parents. We start from systems theory with a focus on resources and relationships, where we try to help people strengthen what is already working instead of focusing on deficiencies. We strive to adapt our work based on the family's needs and design support and treatment in consultation with the family from a holistic perspective. We have a wide range of assignments and work with both simpler and more extensive and complex cases and different types of problems.

Network meetings occur, and you may lead various group activities; evening work may also occur.

Documentation obligation according to current legislation.

Other tasks may also occur, and the content and conditions of the work may change over time.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or other equivalent competence within the social, psychosocial, and treatment-pedagogical area.
• A Category B driver's license, as travel occurs in the position.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

For this position, it will be necessary to present an extract from the criminal record.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Previous experience in social work, authority work, and/or family work/treatment.
