The Social Services Department is responsible for caring for the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as support, counseling, and other interventions for children, young people, and adults.

About the Position

As a Social Secretary with us, you work with official authority within the areas of harmful use, addiction issues, and domestic violence – both for victims and perpetrators of violence. Working as a Social Secretary can be challenging; therefore, we are looking for you who are knowledgeable and confident in your professional role and who see the importance of professional and good treatment. We are a small work group and therefore help each other cover for one another when needed, which places demands on teamwork and flexibility. The operations are also in an exciting development phase where you will have the opportunity to be involved in operational development and change work to create the social services of the future. New conditions and the ongoing development work may also lead to changes in the content of the position.

Job Description

The work includes, among other things, processing applications/reports and preliminary assessments, investigation, assessment, and follow-up according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Abusers of Intoxicants (LVM). It also includes planning interventions for persons with harmful use and co-occurring disorders, as well as investigation and support interventions within domestic violence.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a degree in Social Work (Social Work)
• Have experience with official authority within social work
• Are confident, professional, and clear in your communication
• Have a genuine interest in the target group and social change work
• Have good teamwork skills and actively contribute to a good working environment

It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of ASI, FREDA, PATRIARK, MI, or ADAD. It is also meritorious if you have previously worked with co-occurring disorders, addiction issues, and crime, as well as domestic violence, both for victims and perpetrators.
