Your Role

We are looking for a family therapist to work in the Vara Family Team (VFT), our outpatient care service for children and families. As a family therapist, you will work on change processes within families, collaborate with the Family Centre, and serve as our first line of contact according to the new Social Services Act. You enjoy early preventive interventions. We collaborate closely with the Education Administration, primarily through our School Social Team (SST), but also in other areas, such as through SAMBU.

Your Knowledge and Experience

We are looking for you who have a university degree in social work. Further education in the field and experience from family support work are meritorious. You must be able to work both individually and in groups. We expect you to be an empathetic and secure person who contributes to a good working atmosphere. You are flexible, stress-resistant, and enjoy having varied tasks. You have good verbal and written communication skills. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Your Future Workplace

You will be part of a team led by a coordinator and other family therapists. You will collaborate closely with social secretaries who assign the cases. The target group is children under 18 years of age and their families. Preventive work also includes parent education courses that the outpatient team participates in.

VFT is organizationally part of the Family Unit, Individual and Family Care. The unit includes authority exercises and case handling within the foster care service. You will receive supervision every fourth week.

We offer varied tasks, a developing working environment, and good conditions for personal development through supervision, further education, and operational development. We work in accordance with the BBIC method.

The position is a one-year fixed-term appointment (vacation replacement).
