The Ministry of Defence is developing its operations based on the changed global situation and Sweden's membership in NATO. We are currently looking for one or more case handlers who wish to contribute to Sweden's security through developing tasks in a highly varied work environment.

Your workday. Sweden's tomorrow.

In this role, you are responsible for handling and analyzing issues within the defense and security policy area, based at the Security Policy Unit (FÖ SP EIR). The role also includes participating in negotiations, travels, and visits.

International aspects of the work will become your daily routine, and you will have close contact with relevant units within the Government Offices, other authorities, and counterparts in other states. Together with professional and knowledgeable colleagues, you support the government and perform significant work that contributes to Sweden's development. You work at a high pace with a focus on problem-solving and delivery.

Service at a relevant international organization and a university education in political science are meritorious. Knowledge of NATO's organization and processes as well as knowledge of other foreign languages is also meritorious. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have experience representing Sweden in bilateral and multilateral formats, experience with analysis work relevant to the position, and experience with security and defense cooperation with countries in Sweden's vicinity and/or leading allied countries.

Your Attributes

The Government Offices' employee criteria are holistic view, development, and results. Everyone working at the Government Offices needs to have a holistic view and collaborate for the benefit of the operations. This means you need to be able to work under high pressure and have good prioritization skills. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Other

We offer one or more permanent positions with an initial six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.

The position is classified for security, and a security investigation with register check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. You must be a Swedish citizen, but may have a foreign background.
