The National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) is looking for you who want to work in a broad administrative role where you, among other things, will handle incoming assignments from the Government Offices (Regeringskansliet).

About the position

In this role, you will gain insight into the entire agency's work, and your working day will be directly linked to current societal issues. As an administrator, you serve as the Government Offices' entry point for the agency's monitoring of the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulatory letters and government assignments.

You work with internal communication related to these assignments and act as a coordinator for the distribution of upcoming and incoming government assignments.

The position also involves, to a large extent, registering data in our database for government assignments, as well as quality assurance and development of the administrative process and handling of our government assignments. The role is an important support for the agency's planning and follow-up work.

You belong to the Economics Unit, but you have many contacts within the organization as well as with the Government Offices. Your closest colleague is one of our experienced business controllers.

About you

To thrive with us, it is important that you have a good ability to handle and prioritize among many different parallel tasks. You are accustomed to quickly assimilating new information and conveying it to relevant parties within the organization. You are detail-oriented and used to working in a structured manner with good efficiency when cases have short deadlines. You enjoy administrative tasks and remain calm during temporary peaks in workload.

Since the work is carried out in close collaboration with both the work group and the rest of the organization, we consider it important that you find it easy to collaborate and communicate with colleagues or other parties.

In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

We are looking for someone who has

  • a university degree with a relevant focus
  • relevant work experience within public administration
  • good experience in administrative work in collaboration with many different contact areas
  • good experience in quickly assimilating new information
  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • current familiarity with working with Excel and Word from the Office package

It is meritorious if you have good current experience in some of these areas

  • current experience with administrative tasks that include many parallel cases, as well as working efficiently with short deadlines and high attention to detail
  • maintaining and further developing data registers in Excel or other tools
  • maintaining many contact areas and coordinating/coordinating deliveries according to a set schedule
  • knowledge of state governance and budgeting
