We are looking for an engaged teacher for the adapted primary school at Vasaskolan

In this role, you will become part of the Sector for Children and Education. At our organization, the development of children and young people is at the forefront. We provide education from preschool to upper secondary school, striving for a holistic pedagogical perspective from ages 1 to 20. You see digital tools as a natural part of your daily work. We are confident that you will utilize digitalization to make education accessible and that you are curious about how this can benefit the learning of children and students. You have access to digital tools in teaching and engage in close collaboration within collegial learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to be part of a workplace with varied tasks and a dynamic work environment? Then you will fit in well as an employee with us at the adapted primary school, grades 7-9, at Vasaskolan.

We are a lower secondary school with approximately 550 students and 70 employees in various roles. We work based on work teams that are close to the students every day. The school also has a student health service consisting of special education teachers, school nurses, school counselors, and study and career counselors. On the adapted school, we currently have approximately 20 students.

As a teacher at the adapted primary school, you work purposefully to support students in need of assistance. You will contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment at the unit. It is important that you have a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

You work systematically to evaluate your teaching and its effects. You are open to thinking outside the box based on the student group. You understand that predictability and visual support are important complements to your teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the role of teacher at the adapted primary school, it is desirable, but not a requirement, that you have a special teacher degree with a focus on IF (Individualized Education).

• You are qualified in one of the school's subjects, grades 4-6 or 7-9.
• Teaching certification is required.
• Merit is given to those with experience working with students at the adapted primary school.
• You must possess good social competence and a high degree of flexibility.

Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-10.

To begin working in preschool, school, after-school care, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to show an extract from the criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish Police Authority www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se).

Those who have not shown an extract from the criminal record cannot be employed, engaged, or received in the activity according to current legal requirements.
