Sågbäcksgymnasiet is a municipal upper secondary and adapted upper secondary school in Huddinge Municipality. We educate our students primarily within various vocational programs and introduction programs. About the job

Do you want to work in a role where service, relationship building, and student support meet? Then this might be the job for you. At Sågbäcksgymnasiet, the cafeteria is much more than a place for sales. It is a natural meeting place and an important part of the school's pedagogical environment. Here you meet students from our national programs, introduction programs, adapted upper secondary school, and special educational operations daily. We are now looking for a secure, responsible, and service-oriented person who wants to help create a welcoming, safe, and functional environment for our students. The position is approximately 80 %.

As the cafeteria manager and student support worker, you are responsible for the daily operation of the school's cafeteria. The role involves sales, orders, and handling of goods, but also close work with students who need support, structure, and guidance in their daily lives. The position includes, among other things:

  • responsible for sales and cash handling in the school cafeteria
  • prepare and serve breakfast to students
  • handle orders and deliveries
  • collaborate with the restaurant operations as needed
  • participate in school activities, arrangements, and events
  • guide students and interns in the cafeteria
  • contribute to safety, well-being, and a good study environment in the school's common areas
  • be an adult role model and create positive relationships with students

About you

We are looking for you who:

  • have at least a high school diploma
  • have experience working with teenagers in their upper teens
  • have experience meeting people in need of support or adjustments
  • are secure, clear, and relationship-building
  • have good communicative and linguistic skills
  • can create structure and safety in the school environment
  • can work independently and take initiative
  • have experience in service, sales, or restaurant operations
  • have good cooperation skills and a professional approach
  • are flexible and can switch between different tasks during the day

Meritorious:

  • experience from school, youth activities, or similar pedagogical operations
  • experience working with students in need of special support
