The Social Services Administration in Karlsborg is responsible for elderly care, care for people with disabilities, municipal healthcare, and individual and family services. The administration employs approximately 280 staff members.

At the Individual and Family Services department, you will become part of a team that offers the opportunity to work in a broad and varied manner, close to decision-makers, and with good collaboration with schools and other actors. We care for our staff through training, wellness programs, and external supervision. In connection with the new Social Services Act, exciting changes are underway where housing support will work closely with outpatient care, consisting of therapists within both family and adult services.

Job Responsibilities

Housing support is a needs-assessed intervention and provides support in the user's home or immediate environment. The support can consist of help with starting daily chores such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry, structuring daily life, or social training. The individual performs the tasks themselves with motivational support from the housing support worker, with the goal of eventually being able to manage their daily life independently and live a more self-sufficient life.

The support is individualized and guided by an implementation plan created together with the individual. As a housing support worker, you visit the majority of users yourself. The work also includes social documentation, working with set goals, and collaboration with various partners.

Qualifications

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of methods such as motivational interviewing, low-affective handling, and alternative and augmentative communication. It is also advantageous if you have experience working with our target groups and experience in housing support.

This is a job for you who likes challenges and sees opportunities in every individual. We are looking for you who are responsible, creative, and sensitive to the users' needs. You should be patient and reflective, have a good attitude towards users, colleagues, and collaboration partners.

We are looking for you who have good cooperation skills and a high sense of service. The planning for today's work can change with short notice, so you need to have the ability to adapt to changed situations. The work requires good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
