Are you the one who wants to give our residents a meaningful everyday life? We are now looking for three new colleagues for Skärudden and Skärviken BmSS.
About the workplace
Welcome to Gothenburg's southern archipelago, a unique workplace! A boat ride to work, a calm and stimulating workplace with a view of the sea and nature right outside the door. Here you have the opportunity for cozy activities such as restaurant visits, walks along the sea, boat trips, or coffee at one of the nice cafés we have. Our two BmSS units have a traditional focus with elements of autism, substance abuse issues, and dementia. We are looking for you who are ambitious and passionate about structure and improvement work. Someone who gladly takes responsibility and wants to be part of a team working to make everyday life understandable and meaningful for our residents. Join us!
Welcome to become one of us! You are Gothenburg.
Job Responsibilities
The work as a support assistant consists of varied tasks both inside and outside the home. Both pedagogical and practical support in everyday life, such as personal care and documentation, are common. You work according to implementation plans that you, in consultation with the support pedagogue and together with the residents, draw up to increase their independence, influence, and participation. The work also includes supporting activities and a meaningful leisure time. Medical interventions delegated by nurses or rehabilitation staff are included in the job. You will also collaborate with your unit manager.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree from the Care and Nursing Program, the Support Assistant Education, or the Child and Youth Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization within the disability field comprising at least 200 YH credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four terms of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience in work with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
To be able to keep documentation, you need to master the Swedish language in speech and writing, which implies a requirement of passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. You who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit.
We would like you to have knowledge and experience of low-affective handling, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
The applicant takes responsibility for their and the joint tasks with the operation and the residents' best interests in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and base your actions on the equal value of all people, creating a good atmosphere in the meeting. You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You adapt easily to changed conditions and new information.
We look forward to your application!
