About the job

Do you want to make a difference by providing support in daily life, both inside and outside the home? Here, you will help create a safe, stimulating, and meaningful environment for everyone living here.

The target group consists of individuals with acquired brain injury, which requires staff to be attentive and adapt their communication. As a support assistant, your role is to support tenants in participating and creating opportunities for them to influence decisions and interventions.

At Hundraårsgatan, we work based on the individual needs of our users, focusing on care, rehabilitation, and motivational work. The operation is undergoing a change process with a focus on clear structures, increased security, and working towards common goals. The work includes lifting techniques, personal care, activities, cooking, cleaning, and collaboration with healthcare. You will also stimulate leisure activities and create conditions for a rewarding free time based on the tenants' interests.

The work involves collaboration with guardians, social secretaries, relatives, healthcare personnel, as well as social documentation and medication management according to delegation. By following implementation plans, we ensure that the tenants' needs remain the focus. Your role also includes motivating and strengthening the tenants in their daily lives, which may involve helping them engage with contacts outside the home.

We value a rehabilitative and motivating approach, as well as the ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams.

Working hours at the residence are scheduled during day, evening, and weekend times. Wake-night shifts occur in the operation, but this recruitment is solely for day, evening, and weekend shifts. The residence uses Time Care Planning to create flexible and operation-adapted schedules.

We are looking for two employees for day, evening, and weekend work.

About you

We are looking for you who have a degree from the Nursing and Care Programme, the Support Assistant Programme, or the Child and Leisure Programme with a focus on social and pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a specialization within the disability area comprising at least 200 YH credits, 120 higher education credits, or 60 higher education credits with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The courses should be within behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. You who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. It is a requirement that you have knowledge of low-affective handling (LAB) and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Meritorious is experience from care and social services, as well as work with the target group of acquired brain injury. Good knowledge within pedagogy and the ability to adapt support based on the individual's needs, as well as good computer skills and knowledge of social documentation, are meritorious.

To succeed in the role, it is required that you are pleasant, helpful, and respectful towards others, even in stressful situations. You are attentive to others' needs and feelings, and show care in your handling. You work well with others by listening and collaborating to achieve common goals. In pressured situations, you remain calm and make well-founded decisions despite time pressure.
