Would you like to be offered an exciting and developmental job while working to give people a good life every day? Do you also want the opportunity to develop within a company that has commitment, joy, and responsibility as its guiding principles? Then you have the opportunity to apply for a job with us at Humana. In this role, you will work together with us according to our vision – Everyone has the right to a good life.
About Us
Vassbo is a small HVB (Home for Care or Accommodation) located outside Uddevalla for boys aged 10 to 14. The location is rural with wide views over open fields, near forests and the sea. We accept placements according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law of Care of Young People (LVU). The unit has places for six children in the main building and one additional child in the annex.
The children who come to us usually have a complex life situation that has led to a negative identity development. This can manifest in aggressive and threatening behavior, attraction to unsuitable environments, criminality, and experimentation with drugs. It is also common for our children to have experienced trauma and early care deprivation, as well as having various neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
We actively work to create a stable, safe, and predictable environment where the children can begin to process their experiences and develop strategies to better understand and manage their behaviors. There is also a cat living at Vassbo that is highly appreciated by the children in the unit.
Vassbo has both awake night shifts and sleeping on-call duties.

Who are you?
