Job Description
Do you want to make a life-changing difference for vulnerable young people? Then the role of Treatment Secretary at the National Board of Institutional Care is a meaningful position.
As a Treatment Secretary, you are responsible for coordinating and planning the care and treatment for our placed young people. You do this by:
- Ensuring that treatment or implementation plans, discharge plans, and final reports are drawn up, and that these are continuously monitored and revised.
- Involving and engaging the young person at every step of the treatment or implementation process.
- Anchoring the treatment or implementation planning with the unit manager, group leader, treatment team, and staff on the ward.
- Responsible for evaluating care and treatment interventions together with the young person.
- Planning and leading the institution's treatment collegium, as well as guiding treatment staff towards care and treatment goals in daily work.
- Coordinating, planning, and leading both internal and external coordination meetings, as well as collaborating with the individual's private and professional networks.
- Coordinating and conducting needs assessments within the framework of the ward's treatment team.
You will work closely with the unit manager, group leader, and ward staff at the ward where you are responsible, but you report to the Quality Manager. Other treatment secretaries, nurses, psychologists, and ADAD coordinators are part of your work group.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training to prepare you for your new role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
You must have a relevant higher education degree, such as a social worker degree or another behavioral science education considered equivalent by SiS, comprising at least 180 ECTS credits.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience working in operations focused on care and treatment, such as social services or other relevant operations.
- Relevant knowledge of legislation, ethics, and approach for the assignment.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both written and oral.
Our core values – Respect, Care, and Clarity – permeate our mission. This places requirements on your approach and interaction to meet our fundamental values. We place great importance on personal suitability and expect you to be a good and secure role model for our young people, as well as having a good ability to create engagement and participation. You are good at collaborating, as well as planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively. You take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration.
