About the job

Do you want to make a difference for children who have experienced violence in close relationships? We are looking for you who want to help launch a Violence in Close Relationships (ViN) team within Child and Family Services in the Southwest district.

We are developing our organization to strengthen the investigative work within Child and Family Services, with a focus on Violence in Close Relationships (ViN). In connection with this, we are creating a new ViN team. Our unit consists of three teams with approximately six social secretaries, each led by a senior social secretary. Two teams work with public authority matters for children aged 0–18, and the new team will focus on working with children who have experienced violence in close relationships.

Since the team is set to launch in the autumn, you will have excellent opportunities to influence working methods and the design of the team together with colleagues, the senior social secretary, and the unit manager.

As a social secretary within public authority matters, you will work on investigating and assessing the need for protection, identifying what interventions the child may need, and following up on these measures. The role involves a high degree of collaboration, both internally and externally. We keep the best interests of the child in focus and actively work to involve the child and the family.

You will be offered an introduction through a well-developed induction program led by three specially appointed social secretaries. You will have process supervision together with your other colleagues in the team. You will have regular times for method meetings as well as individual case reviews. We value accessible and close management.

About you

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work and experience in public authority matters within Child and Family Services. It is an advantage if you have previous experience with ViN and if you have an interest in this target group.

A B-class driver's license is an advantage but not a requirement.

We expect you to be well-versed in investigative work, BBIC (Brief Behavioral Intervention for Children), and the laws, guidelines, and routines that form the basis of the work.

To succeed in this role, you need to be stable and confident in your professional role. The work involves meeting children and families in difficult and sometimes acute situations, where you need to remain calm, balance different demands, and make well-founded decisions even under time pressure.

You are responsible and take ownership of both your own tasks and the common mission. You work carefully, structured, and with quality awareness, ensuring that investigations, documentation, and follow-ups are carried out legally secure, on time, and with the best interests of the child in focus.

You have a good and respectful approach and can build trust when meeting with children, families, networks, and collaboration partners. You are sensitive, clear, and professional even in situations that are sensitive or stressful.

Furthermore, you are collaboration-oriented and contribute to good cooperation both internally and externally. You have a non-hierarchical approach, understand the common mission, and work together with others to create the best possible conditions for the child and the family.

You also have strong analytical skills and can identify the core of complex situations. You see connections, draw logical conclusions, and can propose possible solutions based on the needs of the child and the family.

The intended salary range for the position is 36,000 – 48,000 SEK per month. The salary is based on a combined assessment of your education, experience, and competencies you bring into the role.
