Your Role

The tasks involve helping and supporting the residents with interventions based on their individual needs and wishes, according to approved assistance. The work is carried out based on established implementation plans and goals. The job includes providing support in all common household tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, diet management, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, as well as leisure and cultural activities. Other important tasks are to develop and maintain individual abilities and communication, as well as to support the residents' self-determination and personal integrity. By using a motivating and low-affective working method, we create and maintain conditions for quality of life, security, and joy based on the individual's own definition.

The working hours are currently scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends and are continuously adapted to the needs of the operation.

Description of the Workplace

Norrberget's Service Housing is part of the Functional Support operational area within the Welfare sector. Here, you work in close collaboration with colleagues, the unit manager, and other important partners to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for the people living in the facility.

The service housing offers support and interventions to individuals covered by the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Disabilities (LSS). The goal of the law is that people with disabilities should be able to live an independent life and have the opportunity to participate in society on the same terms as others. Together with your colleagues, you work to create good living conditions, strengthen the individual's self-determination, and provide support based on individual needs and prerequisites.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a support assistant or have a degree from the Care and Nursing Program, or alternatively, other education or experience that the employer considers equivalent. Experience in individual-oriented support work or pedagogical work is meritorious. If you also have knowledge of and experience with clarifying pedagogy, we see this as a special asset.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-insight. You have a natural ability to create security and trusting relationships and meet people with respect, sensitivity, and a low-affective approach. You can handle different, and sometimes complex, expressions in a calm and professional manner.

You have the ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional and adapt your interaction to the situation and the individual. Furthermore, you have a holistic perspective in your work and can plan, prioritize, and act based on the operation's goals and the individual's needs.

We value good teamwork skills and are looking for someone who works well with others. You are sensitive, communicate clearly, and contribute to a positive work climate by handling challenges and conflicts in a constructive way.

As an employee, you are expected to actively contribute to quality development and safety in the operation by seeking new knowledge, taking initiative for improvements, and reporting any deficiencies.

Documentation and communication are part of the work, which requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
