About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will become safer and more secure for everyone. We are the agency responsible for prisons, probation services, remand prisons, and client transport.

Employees in this section are located at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service headquarters in Norrköping or at one of the regional offices. For this position, the location is Norrköping.

Job Description

The duties include participating in the management and development of the agency's management system for information security (LIS). The work is primarily conducted through the agency's regular business processes, where information security and security protection are included as mandatory elements. This means you will be part of a team with extensive contact with other parts of the agency. Duties include, among other things, participating in the development and management of governing documents and processes, as well as further developing the agency's work in this area.

The role involves providing ongoing support to the organization and conducting training in the areas of information security and security protection.

You will work with monitoring that personal data processing complies with current regulations, collaborate with the legal department on data protection issues, and provide support and advice to the operations. The role requires you to stay updated on legislation and regulations and to have good skills in both internal and external collaboration.

Additional duties within the areas of information security and security protection may be added.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and self-aware. You enjoy collaborating with others and have the ability to build trust and maintain contacts.

We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic degree in fields such as law, systems science, or political science, or another education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Experience working with information and/or IT security issues
• Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
• Good knowledge and experience of the ISO 27001 and 27002 standards
• Basic knowledge of data protection legislation

The following are also considered meritorious:

• Post-secondary education in information security
• Training in data protection (GDPR)
• Training in security protection and security protection analysis
• Experience working with data protection according to the Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• Experience of similar duties within or together with a government agency
• Experience leading small projects
• Experience holding presentations for smaller groups of employees
• Experience of internal and external collaboration
• Experience working with security protection analyses
• Experience working with IT security issues
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in English
• Knowledge and experience of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's operations
