About the Role

Do you have a strong interest in dogs and want to combine this with a socially important mission where you have the opportunity to make a real difference? Security guards play a central role in maintaining security at Sweden's most critical infrastructure sites, such as military facilities, government agencies, and power plants. These sites are crucial for society's functioning and must be protected against threats such as intrusion, sabotage, and unauthorized documentation.

Securitas is now looking for armed dog-handling security guards for a full-time position. In this role, you work together with your dog to prevent unauthorized access to and within security sites. The position suits you if you have a strong interest in dogs and want to contribute to an important societal mission.

The work as a dog handler is independent and is often experienced as free, but with great responsibility. As a dog handler at Securitas, you have the opportunity for regular dog training together with our dog unit and instructor.

Employment Terms

Employment: The position is a full-time employment.
Working Hours: The work takes place at night.
Location: The security site is located within Linköping urban area, implying good access to public transport. Parking is available at the workplace.

Requirements

Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school.
Category B driver's license.
Swedish citizenship.

Merits

Valid training as a civilian or military security guard.
Previous experience in similar tasks.
Valid training in the handling of firearms (HAS).
Approved dog team for protection.

Security Clearance

As part of the recruitment process, you will undergo a security clearance interview, in accordance with current security protection legislation. To be offered employment, you must pass the security clearance, including an assessment of your personal suitability and loyalty.

The position is full-time employment with start date by agreement. We apply a 6-month probation period.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades from upper secondary school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also become relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when testing suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
