At the Department of Computer Science and Society, approximately 50 employees work within the subjects of geospatial information science, computer science, surveying technology, urban planning, geography, and decision, risk, and policy analysis. We are now looking for 1–2 teaching assistants for employment with a scope of 10–50%, as agreed.

Job Description

The work is primarily related to teaching and takes place in consultation with the department head and relevant course coordinators. The duties may include:

• working continuously and independently with grading and feedback to students in course environments with large student groups,
• development of digital teaching materials,
• participation in courses within programming, data security, algorithms, data structures, software engineering, and more,
• participation in internationalization work within EU Green.

Other duties may also be included, depending on the needs of the operations.

Qualifications

Employment as a teaching assistant presupposes that you are admitted to a basic or advanced level education in computer science or another education that the employer finds equivalent. It is an advantage if you are admitted to advanced level education. For the position, it is a requirement that you have knowledge in cyber and information security as well as at least two years of documented participation in university-level teaching.

As an applicant, you must, considering the content and duties of the employment, show very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. It is an advantage if you have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in German.

Furthermore, we want you to have very good teamwork skills, very good communication skills, a flexible approach to work, the ability to work independently, and to show good judgment in contact with students.
