Do you want to contribute to developing a more inclusive and rights-based society? We are looking for an engaged and development-oriented HR Coordinator (Human Rights) for a one-year fixed-term position.

In this role, you will work both strategically and operationally with issues concerning human rights, children's rights, participation, inclusion, and collaboration between the municipality and civil society. The position is organizationally placed within Culture and Leisure, Youth Leisure, but the assignment is municipality-wide. You will work closely with operations, managers, networks, and external actors to strengthen and develop the municipality's rights-based work.

We welcome your application!

Responsibilities

As an HR Coordinator (Human Rights), you contribute to developing a rights-based approach where participation, equality, inclusion, and accessibility are central starting points. You act as a support to operations and managers in matters concerning human rights, with a special focus on children's rights and disability rights.

An important part of the assignment is to coordinate networks, forums, and municipality-wide processes within the area. You also contribute to the planning and implementation of training, development initiatives, and activities that strengthen the municipality's work with human rights. The role involves many contact points and great variation in tasks. You operate in the borderland between the public sector and civil society, where dialogue, collaboration, and long-term development are in focus.

In the role, you will among other things:

  • Coordinate and develop the municipality's work within human rights
  • Drive and support rights-based approaches
  • Hold together networks and collaboration forums
  • Conduct investigations, analyses, and mapping
  • Prepare materials, action plans, and support documents
  • Plan and implement training and competence initiatives
  • Develop collaboration between the municipality and civil society
  • Act as support to operations in matters concerning children's rights, participation, and inclusion
  • Contribute to the planning and coordination of a rights-based annual calendar
  • Monitor the external environment and contribute with current knowledge in the area
  • Follow up on goals, action plans, and development initiatives within the area

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • A university or college education in fields such as political science, social sciences, social work, public health science, human rights, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
  • Experience in development, coordination, or change work
  • Experience in leading or coordinating processes between different actors
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Education focused on human rights, children's rights, democracy, gender equality, or social sustainability
  • Education in project management, process management, or change management
  • Experience of work within the public sector
  • Experience of work in a politically governed organization
  • Experience of work with human rights, children's rights, social sustainability, or similar development issues
  • Experience of collaboration with civil society, authorities, or other external actors

Personal qualities

To succeed in the role, you are proactive, structured, and self-initiating. You have good analytical skills and can translate complex information into concrete proposals and activities. You are relationship-building and find it easy to build trusting collaborations with different actors. You are communicative, receptive, and confident in leading processes, training, and development work. The role requires that you can work both strategically and long-term while driving the work forward in a structured manner.
